A collection of 1970s short stories - surprisingly not very dated. I've liked McIntyre's writing for a long time, and have read her novel Dreamsnake more than once. These stories trend more downbeat than up, but they're almost all thoughtful explorations, many of themes involving genetic engineering. Only a couple that I really didn't like at all. Which isn't bad for a short story collection, especially one from 50 years ago.
