Western fantasy. Westerns are not my usual book space, but I think this one is very well done. Life is hard, the monsters are scary, and Nettie is a very unique character. Gave me Deadwood and Lonesome Dove vibes. Just mix in a hefty dose of vampires, harpies, sirens, and all kinds of shapeshifters. Second in the series is going on my to-read list.
