So I dove into what I thought was going to be a standard enough fantasy - pre-industrial, magic, etc. But around chapter 8 realized that it's a superhero story. Spiderman or Batman in a fantasy setting complete with origin story, and supervillains. Which is interesting, just not what I was expecting. The story was ok, I could even see it made into a movie. But I don't know that I need to grab the next book. It could desperately use more than one interesting female character.
