I like a good fluffy, fantasy, cozy mystery sometimes - there are some good ones out there. This one, well, the writing didn't suck, and it was short. Maybe my problems with it are due to the novella length? The pacing felt very odd - both rushed and slow in places. The mystery seemed almost ignored until all of a sudden it was just solved. The characters popped on to be introduced and then popped out again. I know it's an intro, but it was a lackluster one and does not make me want to invest in a novel length book with these characters.
